How to play

PLAYING DREAM TEAM SELECTOR

1. SELECT

Select a team to win their match each Gameweek. Choose wisely though because you can only select each team once during the game.

2. SURVIVE

If your team wins, you’re through to the next Gameweek. Follow the game live and see the value of your entry increase round-by-round.

3. WIN

The longest survivor(s) win the Prize Pool!

50% to the winner(s)
45% to the final 50 surviving entrants (or fewer)
5% to the winners of every mini-league – see below

It is important that you read and understand these Game Rules before playing the Dream Team Selector 2020/21 Season Finale (Game). By taking part in the Game, you are agreeing that you have read and agreed to these Game Rules.

1. You must be 18 or over and live in the UK to play the Game.
2. It costs £10 for each entry.
3. You must select a different English Premier League (EPL) team to win their fixture in each Gameweek.
4. You may only select each team once during the course of the Game.
5. If the team you select wins, you survive until the next Gameweek.
6. If the team you select loses or draws, you are eliminated from the Game.
7. The first Gameweek will commence on Saturday 3 April 2021. To enter and play the Game we must receive your selection for the first Gameweek before 12:15pm on Saturday 3 April 2021. This deadline and the deadlines in clause 24 are subject to change. We will inform you via email and / or on the Dream Team Selector website if the deadlines change.
8. You may have a maximum of three entries. If you have three entries, each entry is separate. You may not change or swap selections from one entry to the other.
9. Prize Pool – you are competing to win a share of the ‘pool’ of prize money generated by the total entry fees (including ‘buy-backs’) minus our Commission (see 22 below), as set out in the Prize Pool table at 21 below.
10. A Gameweek will usually consist of up to 10 EPL fixtures but this may vary from time to time. The fixtures included in each Gameweek will be published on the Live Scores page on the Dream Team Selector mobile website (https://networkgaming.co.uk/player/follow-live).
11. The Game will finish at the end of the 2020/21 season or sooner if there is one final surviving entrant in the Game (subject to rule 12 below) with all other entrants having been eliminated.
12. In the event the last remaining entrants are all eliminated in the same Gameweek, the Prize Pool will be shared equally amongst those entrants.
13. If there is more than 1 entrant surviving after the final Gameweek of the EPL 2020/21 season, the Prize Pool will be shared equally amongst all the surviving entrants.
14. If you reach the final 100 surviving entrants (or fewer) you will receive an equal share of 45% of the Prize Pool. In the event the Prize Pool exceeds £100k, this will increase to the top 200 (or fewer).
15. If you’re eliminated in the first Gameweek you may ‘buy back’ for £10 to enter the second Gameweek – however you may not select the same team again. If you have three entries in the first Gameweek and are eliminated in all three entries, you may ‘buy back’ either one or all of your entries to enter the second Gameweek (i.e. if you ‘buy back’ on the three entries the cost will be 3 x £10 = £30). There are no further ‘buy-backs’ after Gameweek 2. For the avoidance of doubt, ‘buy-backs’ are included in the Prize Pool.
16. In any Gameweek, if you fail to make a selection you will be given a random team that you have not selected before.
17. If a fixture is rescheduled before selections are closed, it will be omitted from that Gameweek. You will be able to choose another team up until 15 minutes before kick-off of the first match of the Gameweek.
18. If a fixture is rescheduled for any reason after selections are closed and the Gameweek goes live, the teams involved in the cancelled or rescheduled match(es) will be marked as a win, resulting in those entrants going through to the next Gameweek but they will not be able to select that team again.
19. If there are fewer than 10 fixtures scheduled in a Gameweek (e.g. due to adverse weather, cup ties or the coronavirus etc.), fixtures from other leagues may be used to make up the 10 fixtures.
20. The Prize Pool is guaranteed to be a minimum of £20,000. The Prize Pool will increase as more people enter the Game. For example, if 3,000 people enter the Game and each buy one entry the Prize Pool will be £24,000 (total entry fees minus our Commission).
21. When the Game ends, the Prize Pool will be split in accordance with the following table:
50% the last surviving entrant(s)
45% the final 100 surviving entrants, or fewer
5% shared across mini-league winners
22. Commission – 20% of the total entry fees (including ‘buy-backs’) go to Dream Team & Network Gaming.
23. Mini-leagues: you may become a manager and create your own mini-league, which allows you to compete against friends and colleagues. Eligibility/mini-league payouts:
• Need four or more individual people in your mini-league.
• Your mini-league must reach Gameweek 4.
• You may enter more than 1 entry. Your best-performing entry is taken as your mini-league score.
• One payout per person.
• You may enter a maximum of 10 leagues. If you join 10 mini-leagues and you win every league, you are eligible for 1 mini-league payout only.
• If all entrants are eliminated in the same Gameweek, mini-league payouts are shared equally across all mini-league survivors from previous Gameweek – so long as a member of your league reached Gameweek 4.
• Duplicate leagues with more than 50% of same members are not eligible.
• If you set up a mini-league with eight or more individual people the survivor(s) wins a double payout, subject to the same rules as above.
• 5% of the Prize Pool is split across all mini-league winners.
• Invite friends to join your league using your mini-league referral link.
24. Mini-league ‘refer-a-friend’ promotion: if you refer 3 friends, who all: 1) register an account; 2) enter a team; and 3) join your mini-league, you will earn 1 free entry to the Dream Team Selector Season Opener football game (EPL 2021/22). The free entry is for mini-league managers only and can only be redeemed once per person. Mini-leagues will be locked in at 12:15pm on Saturday 3 April 2021. Any member who joins your league after 12:15pm on Saturday 3 April 2021 will not be considered as part of the mini-league for the purposes of mini-league payouts and the ‘refer-a-friend’ promotion. As per clause 23, duplicate leagues with 50% of the same members will not be eligible for this ‘refer-a-friend’ promotion. Once you have referred 3 friends who all complete steps 1-3 above, please contact support@networkgaming.co.uk to claim your 1 free entry for the Dream Team Selector Season Opener football game (EPL 2021/22).
25. Consolation Competition. This is a weekly competition to predict an event for a match, including but not limited to:
– when the 1st card (yellow or red) will be shown in a chosen EPL match each Gameweek.
– when the 1st goal will be scored in a chosen EPL match each Gameweek.
– when the 1st penalty will be given in a chosen EPL match each Gameweek.
– when the 1st save will be in a chosen EPL match each Gameweek.
The prize is £25. The competition is only available to enter if you have been eliminated from this Game. Eligible players will be sent details of the competition via email. If you have not received the email, we suggest you contact support@networkgaming.co.uk. The eligible match is chosen by Network Gaming and communicated via email. The prediction estimate must be given in minutes and seconds, with the closest estimate declared the winner. If the chosen event does not occur in the match (i.e. there is no card in the match), the prize will roll over to the following Gameweek to become £50, then £75 the Gameweek after, and so on. If there is a tie, dead heat rules apply. Dead heat rules mean we will divide the winnings proportionally between the number of tied winners for that position. Cards for EPL managers do not count as part of this competition. Cards, goals, penalties awarded and then later overturned do not count part of this competition. The time of the event (i.e. card, goal, penalty, save) will be as per Enetpulse data (https://www.enetpulse.com). If further events are used for the consolation competition, the details will be shared with participants before entering and the game rules will also be updated. This competition will run each Gameweek and ends at the end of the EPL 2020/21 Season. Only one entry is permitted per entrant per Gameweek. Winners of the Consolation Competition will be contacted within 72 hours of the Gameweek closing where payment of winnings will be confirmed.
26. All payouts will be made via bank transfer within 5 working days of the Game finishing.
27. Network Gaming and their affiliates reserve the right to void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Game where it becomes necessary to do so. We may also amend or withdraw any element of the Game for reasons beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strike, lock-out, labour dispute, illness, act of God, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, war, riot, civil commotion, accident, public health concern in relation to potential infection, epidemic or pandemic, malicious damage, fire, flood and/or storm, compliance with law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, breakdown of plant, machinery or transportation. Network Gaming and their affiliates, the programme producers and/or the promoter are not responsible for any loss or damage caused to you as a result of any of these occurrences.
